A little while back, I came to the conclusion that it was the sheer amount of stuff that I own that was stopping me from consuming any of it - as it stands, I have a queue of about ninety games, around eighty books and approximately two hundred films, all unplayed, unread and unwatched, and I spent a lot of time just looking at it all. That level of choice is too intimidating. I’m the sort of person who buckles when he steps into a Subway.

To cope with this, I’m using Clear as a kind of brief culture list - at any one time, I’ll have five films, books and games queued. Five is a nice number. There’s just enough selection that your life doesn’t feel prescribed, but it’s not too much that the sheer selection overwhelms you. Combine that with Omnifocus, which I use for the day-to-day task management stuff, and it means I’m actually enjoying things again, rather than procrastinating, bolting and running for the Tumblr hills.

So: what should I watch next?
