Watched: All Watched Over By Machines Of Loving Grace

This is a three-part documentary series by Adam Curtis that, as a broad generalisation, talks about how focusing on the supposed genius of computers has led us to massively simplify our view on humanity and the world. It’s told mostly through voiceover and archive footage, with the occasional talking head, but it’s stunningly compelling, and joins a lot of dots you wouldn’t expect to even be there. Apart from a short of his on Newswipe, this is the first thing of his that I’ve seen, but I’ll definitely be checking out the rest of his work. Fascinating stuff.
