Watched: Arrested Development, seasons one to four; Teen Wolf, season one

I went through the entirety of Arrested Development in two weeks, and my mental state shows - constant exposition to any sitcom, even one of this quality, can break down your mind and make it so you’re constantly looking for bad puns and cheap sight gags in the day-to-day. I say this because I might come across as a little bitter in an upcoming podcast I recorded with Casey for KBIA. We’ll counteract it next week. We’re talking about Kesha. For the same reason, I’ll deliberately leave this vague, other than to say that the first three seasons were incredible and potentially even more so in contrast to the awkward stumbling that season four became.

I’m watching Teen Wolf at Ele’s recommendation, and it’s incredibly stupid, but so devoted to fan service and titillation that I’m not sure I mind. There’s enough of a plot to draw me in, and some superb comedic moments (I’m surprised Dylan O'Brien isn’t getting more roles based on his fantastic brand of physical humour), but above all it’s fun in a way that a lot of shows aren’t anymore. By no means powerful cultural enrichment, but still great. I’m going to plough through the second season soon.
