Watched: Lilo and Stitch (2002).

This was sweet, and funny, and brilliantly-animated, but above all different from a lot of other animated Disney movies. This was written and directed by Chris Sanders and Dean DeBlois, the men behind the How To Train Your Dragon films, and tellingly there’s a level of social consciousness in this film that sidesteps the unrealistic utopian ideal of a lot of Disney realities while still being ostensibly a film for kids.
