Watched: Speed (1994).

A man is decapitated in this film. I’m still trying to process that - there is so much that’s silly, and heartfelt, and playing to the balcony, but then at the end the film’s villain is literally decapitated. And it still fits, somehow.

Anyway, this was a really good action movie that feels like it somehow retroactively redeems Jeff Daniels for doing The Newsroom. There’s not much to say about it, really. A bus drives straight into an aeroplane and then explodes. It’s not high art, but it’s a lot of fun, which is exactly what you want out of something like this.
