For some reason completely unrelated to current film listings, I watched these three films over the last two days. Brief thoughts on each:

Iron Man 2: Entertaining, silly and brave enough to feature a total asshole as the lead. Tony Stark, I mean. Robert Downey Jr might be an asshole too, but I don’t want to presume.

Thor: Oh look! Pretty CGI! A giant robot! Tom Hiddleston! Anthony Hopkins demonstrating his worst acting yet! A clear sign of a good director (Kenneth Branagh) trying to make the best of a script written by a committee. (Not very good.)

Captain America: The First Avenger: It’s weird as hell seeing my local council get featured in the “Special Thanks” section of a film with a name like that.
