Damsel in Distress: Part 3 - Tropes vs Women in Video Games

I am not Anita Sarkeesian’s biggest fan, though that almost exclusively comes from her mode of presentation (she comes across as wanting to preach to the choir, even though the choir is already more than aware of her subject matter) - that said, this is a good one. It actually taps into anxieties I’ve had about the employment of so-called irony and satire in video games, and deconstructs them in a sensible way.

I still wouldn’t recommend the previous two episodes - if you’re a dyed-in-the-wool misogynist, then they just come across as patronising, and if you’re not then they just re-hash the obvious - but this deserves twenty minutes of your time.
